This Could Be Washed

Towel_1876If this towel had been dropped near my house, I swear I would have thought that it was one of mine, except mine has no paint on it and I keep my towels in the house, either folded, in use or in the laundry.

Whew! What a long sentence!

News from a Fellow Tennessee Woman In Green

Here is some news from Margo Farnsworth, Senior Research Consultant for the Cumberland River Compact:

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Women’s Bureau recently selected Public Policy Associates Inc. based in Lansing, Michigan and the Wider Opportunities to Women (WOW) nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C. to receive a $265,690 award to develop a guide that increases women’s access to the green jobs sector nationwide. The publication, “A Woman’s Guide to Green Jobs,” will provide information on hiring needs, training, and entrepreneurship opportunities in green industries and will be available both in hard copy and online. The goal of the publication is to connect women with best practices and support services to facilitate success in the workplace. The publication is expected to become available in the spring of 2010.

Repower America

Add your voice (or your picture and message as I did) to the Repower Wall.

What is the Wall? Former Vice President Al Gore explains:

We know that the political will to transition America to a clean energy economy already exists. You are part of it. But now we must make sure our leaders know it too. The Wall will become our collective voice and thus transform the debate into action.

Here is a post about sustainable mass transit on CalFinder Solar. Clean energy and sustainable mass transit. What great ideas!
