Nashville Tree Forum

Here is an upcoming event promoted by Chris Armour of Trees Nashville:

Discuss tree issues at public forum October 24
Here’s your chance to learn more about Nashville’s urban forest and share your ideas at a free public forum Saturday, October 24.
Called Let’s Talk Trees: Managing Nashville’s Urban Forest, the forum features:

* State of the urban forest report from Trees Nashville
* Representatives from Metro Parks, Public Works, Codes, Water Services, and the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability discussing their roles in the urban forest
* Presentations from local nonprofits including Nashville Tree Foundation, SoundForest, and Cumberland River Compact

The event is 10 a.m. to noon in the Metro Parks Recreation Building at the corner of Oman Street and Park Plaza. (See map at http://bit.ly/forumsite.) It’s sponsored by Trees Nashville and Tennessee Urban Forestry Council.
Attendance is FREE, but please register at http://www.treesnashville.org/tn/forum.html so organizers can get a head-count.
