Recycling at the Tennessee Titans Game

Congratulations to the Tennessee Titans win over Jacksonville Jaguars today at LP Field. Before the game and during the first half, Metro Beautification Environment Commission and the Tennessee Titans helped tailgaters recycle their plastic, aluminum and clean paper on the stadium grounds.

At left is one of the portable recycling collection containers that we placed in the corporate tent area of the grounds. The Serve Pro company was one of the groups in this area.

For the tailgaters in the parking lots at the stadium, we handed out Kroger paper bags with instructions to fill the bags with any plastic, aluminum or clean paper. These were left behind when the tailgaters moved to the stadium to watch the game, and we picked them up and disposed of them in the Metro Public Works white recycling bins on the grounds.

Below is one of the loads that I helped collect and recycle at LP Field:

Thanks to the Titans and Metro Public Works for starting this program. It has been successful and will only grow.
