Crate Full of Trash

I wouldn’t mind using this purple crate to haul recyclable materials to the drop off site in Bellevue, but it’s far back in the woods with the abandoned mattresses that I’ve highlighted earlier on this blog.

I didn’t get close enough to see what’s in it. I detest ticks, which I would surely pick up if I ventured closer to the crate. Mostly I saw papers in it topped by the Coke bottle.

If the crate is still usable, I don’t understand why folks don’t donate items like this to Goodwill Industries. Lots of items I find on the roadways could be used by someone. Plus Goodwill hires workers who might not get jobs elsewhere.

Once I walked past a neighbor’s trash and saw two cat carriers by the garbage can. I asked if I could have them since we had just adopted the two cats who adopted us first. I saved at least $60. Of course, I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on the cats since then.
