Is “Paper or Plastic” Going the Way of Smoking or Non-Smoking?

This article from Tennessean.com reports that Whole Foods grocery stores will not offer plastic bags. YES!

This is such a great idea. Though occasionally it’s nice to have that plastic bag, it’s important to actually reuse it as often as possible before being forced to trash it or recycle it. Fortunately where I am there are a lot of places that will recycle these bags, and we can put them out with our recycling so they don’t fill up landfills. Of course, I prefer paper bags that can be reused or recycled. I take extra paper grocery bags to my local Whole Foods grocery coop to help them save money.
