Don't Print That Email

screen-grab.jpg

The Tennessean published an article this morning about adding a note to your emails that tells the recipient not to print them. I quit printing emails a while back. I save them as PDFs, if necessary. Make it a New Year Resolution to go as paperless as possible.

Interesting suggestion to convert emails to PDFs. What convertor do you use?

I came across your piece as a result of WordPress’s autogenerated links. I’d already written about the email eco-footer at http://infomancie.wordpress.com/2008/06/02/please-dont-print-this-e-mail-unless-you-really-need-to/ , as part of series on eco-labels and symbols. (There’s so many!)

The Tennessean article has disappeared? Important news is so transient.

You might find this of interest – http://www.onewiththeearth.org (based in Pennsylvania). I wrote about the campaign a couple of times http://infomancie.wordpress.com/category/environment/one-with-the-earth-environment/ .

I really like your blog – documenting what’s going on around you. It looks sadly familiar – just like here.
