I was stuck in traffic this morning on I-40 west for about an hour. My carbon footprint is much larger now. While idling carbon emissions into the ozone, I made some phone calls pertaining to my job and deleted some numbers from the cell phone. Then I observed road litter. I saw the usual cigarette packs, plastic water bottles, cola cans, cardboard beer cartons, plush reindeer antlers….
Oh, great, we need more garish Christmas stuff littering the highways. I continued to snake along slowly. Then I saw the piéce de résistence:
A semi, idling next to me, was dragging a big piece of plastic. Where did that come from? Tulsa, Little Rock, Memphis? Besides the dumped overturned jacuzzi that inspired this blog, this is also a Hall-of-Famer for PlanetTrash.
